Position Summary:

As a hands-on Duty Manager for afternoon shifts, on weekdays/weekends and holidays, you will manage the Front Office operation while maintaining high standards of service at all times. And when required during the overnight shift, completing the night audit process, verifying accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to respond to guests correspondence, emails, social media reviews etc.
  • Perform check-in and check-out service to our guests
  • Create reservations via telephone, emails and in person
  • Coordinates the transportation of guests to and from the Airport
  • Establish and build relationships with guests to ensure all service expectations are exceeded
  • Handles guest inquiries and issues while demonstrating effective problem resolutions
  • Contributes to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire safety training, and working in a safe manner
  • Ensures the Guest Service Agents are completing all assigned tasks during their shift - and assist them when required
  • Ensure all team members comply with company safety policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Respond and report on any guest and/or departmental team member injuries, concerns, complaints or incidents
  • Complete Duty Manager duties according to check-list
  • Manage his/her cash float according to hotel rule
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Management

 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma, College preferred
  • Previous supervisory role experience in the hotel industry
  • Competent level of IT proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task and organize time effectively and efficiently
  • Good communications skills, fluency in English, written and oral
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
