We are opening a new Starbucks Store at the dazzling Marriott Orlando Downtown, conveniently located adjacent to the downtown UCF campus and nestled in the future Creative Village!  We are looking for a Starbucks Store General Manager to spearhead the successful  opening of our location. 

The Starbucks Store General Manager leads a team of associates to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our guests. They are required to manage the overall operation of the store. This includes leading and directing the workforce, ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality, managing the store's financial performance, and managing safety and security within the store. This position is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Runs an efficient, professional, and profitable Starbucks operation following all company standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Completes Starbucks Advance Store Training (AST) Certification. Exemplifies Barista promise to produce and deliver handcrafted beverages and food, demonstrating Starbucks service standards.
  • Clean, calibrate and perform routine maintenance store's equipment using the Store Cleanliness and Equipment Maintenance Manual.
  • Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
  • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team.
  • Provide on-going training, feedback, coaching, and staff motivation to all associates to maximize team performance and satisfaction.
  • Follows up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers.
  • Implement company programs as required to ensure compliance with standards, safety regulations and federal and state regulations to ensure optimal level of service, quality and hospitality are provided to the guests.
  • Be a hands-on manager and a resource to your associates, by understanding associates positions well enough to perform duties in associates' absence.
  • Respond to all guests' requests, problems, and concerns presented in person or through comment cards, letters and/or phone calls, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Post and communicate all guest satisfaction results including all guest satisfaction forms, comment cards and guest letters.
  • Understand associate and guest satisfaction results and developing game plans to attack need areas and expand on the strengths.
  • Create an environment that's engaging, where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance.
  • Prepare and conduct all interviews and follow hiring procedures according to policy. Actively support Human Resources with recruiting efforts. 
  • Display a positive, hands on leadership style to attract, retain and motivate the associates; hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate. 
  • Solicits associate feedback, utilizes an "open door" policy and reviews associate satisfaction results to identify and address associate problems or concerns.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with associates and ensures associates do the same within the team.
  • Provides the leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective.
  • Set the tone and help your supervisors to lead their talented and innovative teams. Clear the way for them to guide, inspire, transform conflict into effective problem solving, enabling cohesive teams to ensure optimal guest experience and realize business and financial goal achievement.
  • Ensures recognition is taking place across areas of responsibility.
  • Accountable for sales, expenses and bottom-line profits.
  • Utilize forecasts, daily sales reports and weekly food cost and payroll reports to ensure monthly profit/loss goals are met.
  • Orders food, beverage, dry and paper goods based budget and needs of the business.
  • Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on the various outlet budgets and their components (labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc...) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top quality guest service. 
  • Follow procedures for processing payroll correctly to ensure correct payment of associate paychecks.
  • Ensure successful processes and training are instituted for every aspect of the guest's Starbucks experience.
  • Ensures compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising, follow-up and hands on management.
  • Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Ensures staff understands and complies with local, state and Federal liquor laws.

Qualifications:
