Maverick Hotels is looking for a motivated Front Office Supervisor to lead the sales activities of its new 89-suites Staybridge Suites hotel in Orlando.

Job Purpose:  

Secure new volume accounts; grow positive relationships with existing accounts; meaningfully engage on social media; assure positive recognition within the local community for the hotel.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. This individual must be able to follow budgets, actively participate in revenue management meetings to meet and exceed revenue goals of the company. 
  2. Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan.
  3. Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume of long and short term stays, and meetings
  4. Employ revenue management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals.
  5. Accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive optimum value.
  6. Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.
  7. Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.
  8. Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system.
  9. Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel's business plan objectives.  Desired arrival, departure and volume patterns must be met.
  10. Internally communicate client requirements, thereby insuring all information is accurate between client and hotel staff.
  11. Maintain a healthy contact with guests in-house to ensure their stay is comfortable
  12. Keep closely involved in different social media outfits to ensure guest responses are answered in time
  13. Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales blitzes.
  14. Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files in order to be able to compete successfully.
  15. Maintain good rapport with local CVB, tourism associations, travel, lodging groups and local authorities.
  16. Ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
  17. Perform other tasks, duties and responsibilities as directed by General Manager or Corporate Officers

Job Skills:

  • Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s).
  • Ability to exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
  • Ability to use analytic skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
  • Ability to get results and deliver on agreed targets

Job Qualifications:

Education

  • Associates Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Fluent in English 
  • Other languages preferred 

Licenses/Certifications

  • Certifications for franchise hotels.  
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive to customer appointments
