What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruitment and Training Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of recruitment and training. This role will be focused on proactively sourcing and acquiring talent for Hilton while directly impacting the growth and culture of the company. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and with other Team members, completing a wide variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of recruitment and training. All communication must adhere to Hilton Brand Standards and Accessibility Guidelines.

Recruitment

  • Responsible for the full cycle recruitment process and procedures for hotel and restaurant positions which includes coordinating all onboarding tasks for new hires, including but not limited to pre-employment screening, background checks, assessments and providing continuous communication and feedback to the hiring manager and candidate throughout the process
  • Involved in recruitment strategy by identifying needs, qualifications, responsibilities of potential candidates and work collaboratively with the HR team and upper management to take a proactive recruitment approach by assessing current and future hiring needs
  • Identify hard-to-fill roles and source innovative channels for recruitment while building a talent pipeline
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at schools, colleges and universities, and participate in job fairs to promote Hilton as an employer of choice, increase talent brand awareness and provide information about opportunities available
  • Develop and maintain recruitment reports and trends in recruitment while providing analysis for retention, candidate pipeline and metrics

Training

  • Partners with senior and department managers on training initiatives with follow through from development to successful implementation designed to target brand and job-related training
  • Analyze Hilton Brand Standards and required training to determine training obligations while maintaining multiple training matrixes to accurately show completion and outstanding items
  • Responsible for maintaining brand training through Hilton University and participating in company inspections
  • Facilitating new hire orientations and training initiatives within the company

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a recruitment or HR coordinator capacity
  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong ability in building and maintaining positive relationships
  • Team-oriented and skilled at working within a collaborative environment.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter

Requirements

  • Required to provide a certificate proving completion of the Health and Safety Awareness Training for Workers (e-course provided by the Ministry of Labour)
