What will I be doing?

  • Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public spaces, back of house, front of house areas
  • Must monitor all incoming maintenance requests, and delegate the reparative tasks to the general maintenance Team Members
  • Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
  • Inspecting a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
  • Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls and situations
  • Handle Guest complaints, and assists Team Members with solving guest issues when they arise
  • Track attendance and schedule breaks of Team Members on a daily basis
  • Take part in communication meetings on a regular basis
  • Act as a liaison for contractors when management are off duty

Experience

  • Previous Supervisor/Leadership experience with 2-3 years of hospitality experience is required
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience with property maintenance
  • Significant, professional experience in plumbing and electrical

 

Skills

  • Superb organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong Mechanical ability with Attention to detail

 

Requirements

  • Required to provide a certificate proving completion of the Health and Safety Awareness Training for Workers (e-course provided by the Ministry of Labour)

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift and carry 24. 5 kg and push/pull 14.5 kg
