The  Maitre d' supports the Restaurant Manager and is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of the restaurant operations, to include execution of restaurant banquet events, and restaurant banquet sales.

The floor supervisor/Maitre'd is expected to help with staff management and guest satisfaction.  At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a restaurant; and 2 or more years of related Restaurant operational experience a plus.

Ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through commitment to a "Do Whatever It Takes Attitude" and a hands-on, lead by example management style

Utilizes leadership skills and motivates employees to ensure cost control and labor management

Job DutiesDaily Operations

  1. Floor presence during shift, greeting and interacting with guests.
  2. Perform daily inspection of restaurant for readiness according to standards
  3. Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.
  4. Responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of service and ambiance.
  5. Supervision of tabletop presentation for meal service.
  6. Supervise and direct service
  7. Handle guest complaints in the most diplomatic manner.
  8. Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction.
  9. Complete menu knowledge (dinner, bar and wine pairing).
  10. Maintaining inventory of equipment, linen and other supplies
  11. Monitoring and controlling Micros system in appliance to guest checks and hotel reports
  12. Monitor speed of service and exercise quality control for both food and beverage.
  13. Increase knowledge of the industry trends.
  14. Maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies and handle guest and employee accidents.
  15. Relate any outlet maintenance needs to the Engineering Department by work order program.
  16. Keep storerooms in a state of readiness, cleanliness and tidiness.
  17. Promote and maintains good employee relations between service kitchen and dining room.
  18. Ensure company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program.
