General

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (North Vancouver) is a unique, boutique style property, Chef De Partie will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel and must be a multi-functional individual with an attention for the finer details.  Under the direction of the Sous-Chef and Executive Chef, Chef De Partie will produce high quality food in a professional and efficient manner, satisfying the needs of the Lobby Restaurant and exceeding our customers' expectations. 

Duties

 Lead the kitchen Brigade

  • Ensure all foods are handled and stored safely in accordance with established health codes.
  • Review the daily production sheets to determine the quantity of ingredients needed and to prepare the necessary food items required for the day.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment as needed for food preparation while keeping safety in mind at all times.
  • Assist and advise all subordinate positions of established standards and procedures
  • Help maintain clean and organized workplace
  • Be health and safety conscious and involved in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Comply with Pinnacle Hotel policies and code of ethics.
  • Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

                                                    

Job Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role
  • Red Seal or similar Certification
  • Nutrition and product knowledge
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety rules and regulations
  • Equipment knowledge
  • Team Player
  • Creative, shows flare and is an innovator
  • Takes ownership of duties and shows initiatives
  • Must be well self motivated, responsible, organized and
  • Possesses an eye for the smallest detail.
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs of a hotel environment. Must be available weekends.
  • Able to stand on feet for 8-hour shift in a hot environment.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs
