Night Auditor

Reports to: Guest Service Manager

The Night Auditor is a key member of the Guest Services team responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel, verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenue, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest service.

As the Night Auditor or Guest Service Agent overnight, you are the first form of interaction with our guests when they arrive on property. It is important that we ensure the guests feel welcomed and acknowledged. You are responsible for ensuring we provide the highest levels of guest service and that our standards are met and maintained at all times. With a combination of passion for the industry, good communication with other departments, you have the ability and empowerment to make a guest stay with the Hilton Garden Inn Fredericton an outstanding and memorable one.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing exceptional guest service, with a strong knowledge of the Fredericton surrounding area.
  • Experience in Night Audit or an accounting background is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and time management skills
  • A team player and self-starter, able to work independently
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
  • Knowledge of hotel industry
  • College or University degree in Hospitality is an asset
  • Maintain room's security by providing effective key control & confidentiality.
  • Ensure effective check-in and check-out procedures are followed for individual and group/tour activity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Always greet guest in a friendly and professional manner
  • Perform accurate check-in and check-out procedures
  • Answer telephones in a friendly and professional manner
  • Make reservations over the telephone and in person, ensuring all aspects of the room reservation procedures are followed.
  • Anticipate and address guest's service needs
  • Listening to guest's complaints and concerns and addressing them in a timely manner
  • Promote a safe work environment, adhering to all hotel safety and emergency procedures.
  • Manage nightly hotel operations
  • Post transactions
  • Run audit reports and ensure proper distribution
  • Other duties as required.
  • Must be available to work overnight shift
  • Great communication skills with ability to communicate in both English and French
  • Available to work Days, evenings, Weekends and Holidays.
